Notes on Proper Schematic Capture
From MKRD.info Wiki
Let's look at a circuit which violates most good schematic capture principles:
Just about everything in this image is wrong. Let me provide a list which I do not claim to be complete:
- Nodes are not connected with a dot
- Symbols used are not standard. For example:
- Battery symbol should not display the "-", as the symbol already specifies this.
- Symbols used were pulled from different libraries, and this is why the MOSFET symbol is much larger than other symbols
- Switch symbol is not standard.
- The LED symbol shows what appears to be the standard high voltage warning (lightning bolt).
At least there is a circle around the MOSFET symbol. That's a welcome surprise.
If you need to draw a small schematic, do not waste your time and braincells on the idiotic available schematic capture programs -- just draw it by hand on a plot paper and scan it.
